  • Dixiane Hallaj, Executive Director of OPAL has a PhD in Literacy and Adult Learning
  • Edward V Jones, long-time head of the Adult Learning program at George Mason University.  Dr. Jones is very active in the field of adult literacy.
  • Jean Kipfer, author of two novels and instructor of the Creative Writing Class at the Carver Center in Purcellville, Virginia
  • Jean Lowe, former director of the GED program, Jean has been active in every aspect of adult literacy from teaching individuals to teaching university classes.
  • Megan Rose-Jensen, holds an M.A. in Adult Learning as well as a graduate degree in social work.
